This is for animating stamps in Adobe Image ready, but you need to start out in Photoshop to get it ready for AIR.

Stamp and tutorial made for =MissingHorcrux but anyone can use this tutorial of course

Harry Potter font from [link]

Pictures used in the stamp from =MissingHorcrux's gallery. Yuna Lineart, utenasama and Rukia Pinup, JadeEdge

If you have any questions, like maybe I left out a step, let me know, leave me a comment.

Stamp base: Clean Stamp

I have a question : I followed all your steps and I succeeded making an animation BUT when I open my gif in IE it has a defect. After each frame animation it leaves behind a light line indicating were the previous frame's line was. Is there any way to avoid it?

Thank you.
I learned this at school but it's good to read through a tutorial to keep it in mind. :)
Some things have changed a bit between Photoshop 7 and Photoshop CS5, but the difference is not big.

I'm not the fastest in making such things (I call them GIFs instead of Animations, because Flash is not only one picture too), 'cause I'm a perfectionist. - I needed around 3-4 hours for that: [link]
76 Layers are not alot, but it feels so 'wow' when you see that running on a screen again and again. I showed this in drawing lessons to my class and I was so exited, but it felt good to see them clapping hands.

Great tutorial; but I should point out for anyone using CS3 upwards that instead of "Save Optimized as..." it's "Save for Web and Devices" and you can save it directly in PhotoShop too. :) I struggled with that one when I moved from CS2 to CS3. :giggle:

Thank you for the tip! I made this tutorial before those versions came out, if I recall correctly, so it's nice to get updates :)

No problem :) When I updated to CS3 my face fell at the thought of not getting to animate things and such, though I found out that they hadn't really changed anything, just the name of the save option and ImageReady being integrated into PS. :)
